The Full Story
About
Terra Texana came about as a response to the growing desire to safeguard the unique land that we Texans call home. With continuing pressure from development, economic and political uncertainty, and a rapidly changing world, our natural resources are often overlooked, neglected, or outright destroyed to make way for human development. Here at Terra Texana, we have seen firsthand how precious the Blackland Prairie and its wildlife are, and are working to preserve the small pockets we have left. We are devoted to our prairies, our planet, our state, and our communities, and believe strongly that the best resistance starts right where you are.
Terra Texana is a 501(c)3 non-profit native seed "farm" dedicated to rebuilding our connection to nature through hands-on conservation efforts and education about Texas natural resources and responsible land stewardship. We work with local landowners to collect native seeds and distribute seeds to interested landowners and non-profits across north central Texas!

Mission
Terra Texana is a nonprofit startup dedicated to rekindling the connection between people and nature through education on and conservation of Texas’s natural resources. With ever-increasing pressure from development, invasive species, and pollution, Terra Texana strives to preserve the natural wonders of the Blackland Prairie and surrounding ecosystems. Through the cultivation of native plant species, we aim to affect change in our community from the ground up - literally.

Vision
To ensure everyone in North Central Texas has access to the opportunities and resources needed to grow and interact with the plants native to their ecoregion.
